New Haven County resident Patricia Curiale, age 50, of Milford, was arrested on Tuesday, June 6 after Milford Police officers responded to a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived at the home on W. Main Street, they found the victim uninjured. Police said the victim had been in the backyard when they heard a car alarm go off and spotted Curiale near the car.
The victim had an incident with Curiale the night before, and Curiale had been arrested. The victim knew that she was not allowed to be at the house due to being given a protective order, police said.
The victim told Curiale that she was not supposed to be there and had to go. She began to argue with the victim and pointed a gun at them as they ran and she fired the gun, police added.
Curiale fled in a vehicle and was located by officers shortly thereafter. She was taken into custody and charged with:
- Criminal attempt to commit assault
- Unlawful discharge of a firearm
- Criminal violation of a protective order
- Criminal possession of a pistol or revolver
- Reckless endangerment
She was arraigned and held on a $620,000 bond.
